The luncheon will feature United States Representative Bill Huizenga (R), 2nd District. Congressman Huizenga will inform the attendees of his work with the committees in which he is involved and give an update on local and current issues in Washington D.C., expectations for the future, as well as responding to questions from the floor.

Other invited legislators attending are State Senator Geoff Hansen (R), 34th District and State Representative Holly Hughes (R).

This years’ event is generously sponsored by PNC Bank and hosted by Alcoa / Howmet. Dave’s Kountry Katering is planning a delicious lunch along with table service by Debby Does Dishes.

Breakfast with Congressman Huizenga

The Holland and Zeeland Chambers of Commerce are hosting a breakfast with Congressman Bill Huizenga, who represents Michigan’s 2nd District.  The breakfast is scheduled on Monday, December 19 from 7:30am to 9:30am at Evergreen Commons at 480 State Street in Holland.  Huizenga will give updates on what is going on in Washington, D.C., reveal his plans for the upcoming year, and answer questions from participants.

The cost is $25 for members and $40 for non-members.  Tables of 10:  $250.  For more information go to www.hollandchamber.org

The 2nd Congressional District runs along the lakeshore and covers nine counties, including Ottawa, Muskego and Oceana, and portions of two counties - Kent and Allegan.

It's time to celebrate the seasons in Montague & Whitehall

Montague and Whitehall area businesses are opening their doors Friday and Saturday for the annual Christmas Walk.

20 businesses are participating with unique gifts and food treats.

Santa will also be strolling the city streets.

Heartland Healthcare is sponsoring the complimentary trolley rides and the Nuveen Center in Montague will offer a variety of children's projects on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

Howmet Playhouse - We're Dressing up the Grand Old Lady!

Thanks to an Action Grant from the Alcoa Howmet Foundation and the work of eight Alcoa Howmet employee volunteers, the interior of the Playhouse has been repainted. Please excuse our mess as we add second coats and do touch ups.
