Lake of Fire 2011 starts Thursday | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
ROTHBURY, Mich. (WZZM) - There is a new and somewhat strange event coming to Rothbury this weekend.
According to its web site, the Lake of Fire 2011 is for "friends, freaks, lovers, and loafers."
The festival is at the private Lucky Lake Campground.
Campground owner Don McCormick was unsuccessful in holding a music festival on his property last summer, but he says this weekend's event is sold out.
The festival can be described as part carnival, part interactive camping. The themed-campsites include Smoregasm, for those who love smores, and Camp Canned Ham.
The festival ends Saturday night when a 20 by 40 foot wooden whale is burned in the middle of Lucky Lake.
No one under the age of 13 can attend.
